Default Color Printer Detection

have an HP LaserJet 2300 PCL 6 connected to the parallel port on a XP Pro
host.

Using Win32_Printer I enumerated the Capabilities attribute and one of the
values it contains is 2 which identifies it as having color printing
capability

Using Win32_PrinterConfiguration the Color attribute has the value 2 which
also identifies color printing capability.

Unfortunately, the printer is a B&W printer. Any thoughts ?

RM.

BTW - I had posted on win32.programmer.wmi prev but did not get any
responses

I believe that is also used to identify a printer with grey scale
capability.
