Help with Win XP Fax archived files
Hi,
I am trying to figure out a way to get a confirmation back after I send a fax though Outlook using the Fax Mail Transfer thing. I realize that it's not so simple. I am saving the successfully sent faxes to a folder. I don't understand the format of the file names, though. They get saved as a long number. Do I have an easy access to control the names of the stored files? If there is a way to control that, I should have a solution. In other words: Let's say I've just sent a fax. Does anyone know the relationship between the newly sent fax and the file name of the file that just got created after the fax was successfully sent? My thoughts on the possible solution so far: I can easily be running a script that would be deleting everything from the fax archived folder every time I am sending a new fax. Then I can run a script or service to check if a new file appear in the folder. If there is I can reply to the last email received and confirm successful faxing. But that can't really work when there is a fax stuck in the Outbox of the Fax Console waiting on retry, and then another email is sent to get faxed (which is going to happen in my case). Then I'd respond to the wrong email with a confirmation and it would all go downhill. The other problem is that I don't have too much time to take care of that because I am behind on everything. Thanks in advance! |
