Missing Network Adapters after SP2 update

Default Missing Network Adapters after SP2 update

just installed sp2 on and everything thing is working fine except my onboard
and pci ethernet cards disapeared and windows does not recognize them. I
tried reinstalling drivers for them and every thing. they still function
properly on my network but i cant access them to change any settings.
someone please help!

To repair all system files, go to Start/Run, and type (or paste in): SFC /SCANNOW

Thanks for the info but it did not cure the problem. Any other suggestions?
