Default Lost My CD drive on laptop

Have you had any response on this? I have a Compaq
Presario with the identical problem.

-----Original Message-----
I have an HP Pavilion XH%#% laptop with a Toshiba DVD-ROM
SD-C2502 drive. All of a sudden it does not recognize any
cd that I put into it. I will play a DVD however. When I
inset a CD and click on the drive it says F:\ is not
accessible. Incorrect function. What has happened????
Anybody out there able to help me. I can't even put my XP
disk in to repair it. Won't recognize anything. Help!!
.
