Hanging on reboot at "Checking NVRAM..."
MSI 845E Max mainboard (MS-6566E ver 1.0) hangs at reboot. Removing USB
device (ADSTech DVD Xpress capture device) solves problem. Note: device works normally when plugged in after WinXP starts. Could this be just the device causing a conflict somehow? ( I am also contacting ADSTech for support) Weak or insufficient power supply? (this PC is loaded up fairly well) CMOS battery weak? Any guidance appreciated. r. |

Hanging on reboot at "Checking NVRAM..."
Forgot to mention that it does not hang every time - even with all USB devices connected. Which is why I am thinking it's not just the ADSTech device causing the problem. r. Hanging on reboot at "Checking NVRAM..."
Did you install the correct, and latest, chipset drivers for you MSI
motherboard? If the chipset is based on VIA chipsets, you should also install the USB filters from Via. "namniar" this@that wrote in message ...
