(This is actually a new question, but I have to use the "reply" because
whatever the problem is also makes the "new question" button not work) I just loaded WinXP over the Win98 I've been using since it came out, and it will not let me send email from Outlook Express. When I press "send" the installer starts up for Office 2000! I tried the fix menu for OE, which suggested the address book may have to be replaced, but when I used the search for files option under the start menu, once again, the installer for Office 2000 started up. I have Office 2000 on the computer, but don't have the CD available (in the middle of a move, which is why I'm using a new IP) and anyway, Office 2000 should have nothing to do with any of this. Again, sorry to butt into another thread, but this is the only way I can post, it seems. Thanks for any help you can give. Thanks, Gordon. I copied all the addresses you listed and will try them.
