Default Faxing from Microsoft Fax Console When Using Codes

Our office uses "codes" to designate who uses long
distance. On our old fax machine, we would dial in the
number and then add our personal code to send faxes.

I am unable to figure out how to attach my code to my fax
number in order to allow faxes to be sent. I have tried
adding ##, and **, and ,, all with no luck.

Can anyone give me any suggestions. My phone compmany
tells me this is a software problem, not something with
the phone.

Default Faxing from Microsoft Fax Console When Using Codes

Usually handled through dialing rules set at the operating system level. Fax
numbers require special format for phone numbers to process dialing rules.
Take a look at this MS KB article, it may help:
