Default I prefer to go out

I prefer to go out on vacation. I'm looking for good clima, space and
freedom to stay in peace. Can't stand no more this waste of time expecting
for better days, pretending everything is fine. They say we'll have Windows
10 but we need real things, like a job, a family, a home to be happy like
everybody else. Being a slave is boring.

I'm heading for the Highlands. I'll be roamin' through the gloamin. I'll
be clambering high oopa the slopes of Nevis. I'll be a-huntin' the
haggis wi' mi gun. Me and Rob Roy down by Loch Katrine and aroun' the
Trossachs.
I'm a takkin' the high road.
But first I'll have to thaw mi limbs out.
Comma the spring, man; comma the spring.

But first comes Daffodil Day; March 26th.
What I do is a homage to William Wordsworth.
I go up to Windermere by train (Will fought the railway companies back
in the 1840s to stop the railway penetrating further into Lakeland; and
won), walk down to the lake, cross on the ferry, walk up the hill past
Hilltop Farm where Beatrix Potter lived with Peter Rabbit and Jemima
Puddleduck, round Esthwaite Water (which Will said he used to walk
around each morning before school! Sheesh!) and lunch in Hawkshead in
the Queens Head pub.
Then back, maybe hitching a lift on the way, but whistling to the sheep
as I pass by.

I've yet to find anything more heavenly than that. And, although my
dad's ashes are floating around in a loch up on the NW coast of
Scotland, I'm a Lakelander.

Please, don't forget to take a ride in the wooden roller coaster after
lunch, it's always fun.

I hesitate to ask, but *how* is this relevant to Windows-8 (or "W8"
as I ever so humorously call it)?
J.

About as usual for the one calling himself Gary Stevens today, if it's
who I think it is.
