remote access
I'm trying to understand what exactly the network wizard does rather than
just blindly running this feature. The factors involved in a LAN that I'm aware of a 1)placing computers on same workgroup 2)enabling file & print sharing for microsoft networks (properties of network adapter) 3)setting up computers to automatically obtain IP & DNS addresses 4)sharing whatever folders I desire to be shared 5)allowing remote assistance (only if desired) When I go to share a folder on a computer for the first time a properties window appears saying that windows has disabled remote access to this computer for security purposes. If I wish to enable it I can run the network setup wizard. What would the wizard do to enable sharing that I haven't already done? Where would I navigate to find these features to enable sharing? |
