Default can’t get windows to update anymore

can’t get windows to update anymore i have an XP and it won’t update
anymore and i wanna install WMP 11 and i can’t

Please supply details, such as, what do you get when you try to update?
Error message (exact wording)? Update "hangs" during the "scanning for
updates" ? I suppose you mean that you are going to the Windows Update site
(?).

NB- please use punctuation in your posts cause one long runon sentence is
really a pain in the @$$ to read when you're trying to help someone with
their problem if you see what i mean i hope you do and i'm not trying to be
mean just to help you help yourself

Default can’t get windows to update anymore

Tip: Temporarily disable real-time protection by your anti-virus and/or
anti-spyware applications (e.g., CounterSpy, Spysweeper, Spybot Tea Timer,
AVG Anti-Spyware) and/or any third-party firewall (e.g., ZA) before
attempting to install the update(s). If you disable the third-party
firewall, make certain that you enable the Windows Firewall!
