XP Home Network Issue

I hope I can provide enough information in this post to allow one of the
"smarter than me" people here to offer insight on a newly identified issue.

I run a home network thru my Linksys router. On the network are two XP Pro
desktop systems (Dell Inspiron and Vostro), one Vista Home Premium 32 bit
(Dell), and one Vista Home Premium 64 bit (HP Pavilion notebook).

I have recently noticed odd behavior with respect to the ability of each of
the PC's to recognize the Dell Inspiron system, and I am suspicious that it
somehow has to do with running Vuze (Azureus), the bit torrent client, with
too many torrents sharing at once.

Here is the pattern I note:

1. The XP Pro Vostro system recognizes the XP Pro Inspiron system on which
Vuze is running
2. When I run my Windows 98 Virtual Machine on the XP Pro Inspiron system,
it does not list the XP Pro Inspiron system in the recognized PC's on the
network, but I can find it when I click on "find computer"
3. The Vista Dell Desktop and Vista 64 bit HP Pavilion notebook do not list
the XP Pro Inspiron system ("proputer"), but shows "Vuze Proputer", which
when double clicked brings up media player.

If I turn off Vuze, and reboot, the XP Pro Inspiron system ("proputer")
shows up on all systems

I don't think this is firewall related, in light of the fact that even if I
disable Zone Alarm Internet Suite, and with Windows firewall off, this
problem still persists. Furthermore, it would not seem to be an issue with
ensuring that all the PC's on the network have unique names, and that the
network is properly named on each PC, since rebooting at least temporarily
fixes the problem.

I did not see anything on the Vuze site about this, but thought it might
make sense to see if anyone here is familiar with some sort of odd
interaction between bit torrent clients and XP networking.
