log off has changed
Hi everyone,
We have done some work our computers and now when we try to switch users it is only offering to log off not switch users. Could someone tell me were this option can be changed back? We are using Windows XP sp3. Thank you |

We are using Windows XP sp3. Is this for hosts that were moved from a workgroup to a domain? Fast User Switching is only available if you are NOT on a domain (because the classic login screen gets used when on a domain; see next statement). Did you change from using the Welcome Screen to using the classic login screen? Fast User Switching is only available when using the Welcome Screen for logins. Run: control.exe userpasswords Click "Change the way users log on or off". You never described what you changed by your "work". |

Have met this one before, the wireless app has replaced msgina.dll with one of its own. Basically, naughty coding and shouldn't be doing this. If you uninstall the wireless app but leave the wireless driver, you should then be able to activate the Wireless Zero Config service and use the standard Windows wireless app. Also check the Fast User Switching service is running.
