Default Windows 7 newbies with questions...

Hello!

I started to use Dell OEM's 64-bit Windows 7 HP system as my production
machine since my old XP Pro. SP2 box was too slow and doing weird things.

I am still not fully used to Windows 7. I have a few newbie questions:
1. Is there a freeware to make my windows go into shade/roll (up and
down)? I used to use WinShade and WinRoll, but they don't work too well
in v7.
2. How can I sort my Start Menu to show FOLDERS first and then the
shortcuts? All the shortcuts are shown first and then the groups,
alphabetically. I don't like this new change. I couldn't find any
options to fix this.
3. Is there a bug with program icons (generic application icon) being
missing? I noticed them in Start Menu and taskbar, I see a few missing
icons. Icons do exist and work.
4. I like the aero effects, but the borders and shadows are too thick.
How can I make them thinner? I couldn't find a way to change it. I find
the appearance for colors and text changes, but couldn't change the
border thickness size.
5. What happened to edit.com, a text editor, in cmd.exe? Is there a
replacement?
6. Does Windows 7 have a support tool like XP? I loved its tools it had
like bindiff.exe.

I might have more questions later on. I think these are enough for now.
Thank you in advance.

You need to learn how to ask a question in a newsgroup.
You will get more focused answers if you ask one question
per post, not a several questions in one post.

So posting ten or more threads is OK? I thought people hated that. I
will do that later then.
