Default HP Officejet 710

Just upgraded to Windows XP. Now my Officejet 710 will not fax. Just shows disconnected. Updated drivers, did not help. Can anyone help with my problem?

The problem has probably arisen because the OfficeJet was kept connected to
the PC during the upgrade and the drivers have become corrupted.

Do a complete uninstall and reinstall as per:

http://www.coribright.com/Windows/Article%20One.htm

Use Updated drivers from HP for the reinstall and install them BEFORE
reconnecting the printer. The software will tell you when to connect the
printer. If it is a LPT (parallel) connection, ensure that the LPT port is
set to EPP in the BIOS.
