Nope. Registry editing should be done by a human instead of an application,
in my opinion, instead of an automated program. It does have a few
additional features. Namely you have system restore and last known good
configuration that can assist with registry problems.

The last know good confirguation is accessed via safe mode and, basically,
is the last time the resgistry was saved - more than likely yesterday,
because you have used the pc since. If the problem has persisted for a few
days the last known good configuration will not be of use.
Are you experiencing a specific problem or is it simply a case that you feel
the registry needs attention?
While XP home or Pro do not have their own registry checkers there are third
party checkers available, but, as Galen has pointed out, registry editing is
best left to human hands rather than software applications. Software
registry checkers can delete options that you do not want removing, thus
causing other problems.

Default Does Windows XP Home Edition have a Registry Checker?

Hi John,

Thanks for the advice. I was curious because I have Windows 98 standard
edition on my old computer which has a registry checker feature. Therefore,
when I got a computer with Windows XP Home Edition, I thought that it too
would have a registry checker. No specific problems yet. I just wanted to
know this in advance to avoid registry problems with Windows XP Home Edition
in the future.
Thanks again.
