Default AVI file with unsupported codec!!!

Hi! To get down to the point, I have a problem playing
an .avi file. It sends me: Error# C00D11CD I have
installed the latest Windows Media Player 9 Series codec
available on the net. Please, can you help me?

This single codec plays the vast majority of avi files:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/ (ffdshow codec.) Aside from the
limited selection of Microsoft video codecs, ffdshow is the only one I have
installed. I haven't met an avi I couldn't play in quite a long time, now.

HTH,
Ian.

Hi, Ionizer suggestion of installing ffdshow is a very good idea. The
Windows Media Codec's do not included third party codec's such as DivX and
XviD.
