WindowsXp system drivers \ kmixer.sys
from time to time my sound driver just stops. The machine is just sitting
idle and for no apparent reason it just stops. I check system devices and see the error icon for Microsoft Wave Audio mixer and it says kmixer.sys corrupt. Once I reboot it's okay for awhile. Can I remove this file and would I find it on my WindowsXP cd under drivers to replace it or is there more to it than that? Thanks, -- |

If you get a corrupt file message and you reboot and everything is fine it
is possible that you should check your RAM and even your hard disk for errors. -- Randem Systems Your Installation Specialist The Top Inno Setup Script Generator http://www.randem.com/innoscript.html Disk Read Error Press Ctl+Alt+Del to Restart http://www.randem.com/discus/message...tml?1236319938 "Fred Grosskurth" wrote in message ... from time to time my sound driver just stops. Thank you. I have 1gb ram and plan to upgrade to 2gb. I thought 1gb should
be enough, but after upgrading IE I started to have the problem. Thanks again, "Randem" wrote in message ...
