Default Hard Drive Installation

I installed a new 80 gig HD with Win XP and want to use the old drive as
Backup. Everything went well, the new HD as master and the old drive as
slave. Problem the drive is recognized as ok in Device Manager and Disk
Management is also ok but when it installed it did not assign a Drive letter
and it is only recognized as Maxtotr Disc, so consequently I cannot access it
as I can't find it. Help

In Disk Management click on the drive in question and assign it a drive
letter.
