Default Disabling Messenger

Hi.
go in to control panel, then go in Add and Remove Progams.
wait a few seconds/mins. for that page to load then scroll
and find the messenger you want to get rid of. click on
remove , it will be on the right. then after you click on
it that will remove it. clock ok, and then re-start. there
you go..
God bless and have a great day.

I'm brand new to Win XP after 5 years on Win 98.
I'm not part of the "Instant Messaging" generation !

Please direct me to an MS Article or other steps to
disable MSN Messenger. Thanks in advance.
