open windows resizing
Is there any way to set my preferred size of a particular window to stay
the way I want it to? I have a very small excel file I use as a sort of daily checklist, and keep it open on my desktop. I often return to my computer to mark something off and discover that the open window displayed on the desktop has resized itself, almost always to a much smaller size. I find this exasperating. TIA for any help! A R Pickett |

(Lots of people think "Excel" when all they want is a table.) However, I don't know if that would make any difference to the problem )-:. -- J. P. Gilliver. (Lots of people think "Excel" when all they want is a table.) However, I don't know if that would make any difference to the problem )-:. Tables in Word can be sufficient for a daily 'ToDo' type checklist but Excel for many might be more familiar and quite a bit more flexible for adding rows/columns, sorting, highlighting specific cells when data is not stagnant. Other tools like OneDrive's OneNote can be used for simple lists, as well as a stand-alone or local email/web mail client's Calendar 'Task/ToDo' list. I suspect the op is reasonably comfortable with Excel as the personal choice for a daily checklist but as you've and others have noted other options are available. -- ....winston msft mvp consumer apps |

I hadn't originally noticed the OP's description of spontaneous resizing until just before I read your post, and when I realized what he said, I had the same reaction as you. -- Gene E.
