Not sure it's called Photo Editor, but it's gone. I've used the same program
for eons, and not sure if it's from Word 2003, or XP Pro, or . . . but it's
GONE.

I had to run ComboFix, and HJT, et al when something was downloaded by
mistake (that infamous "great" AV), so wonder if . . . today, I started up
my Pentax and it just sat there after plugging it into the USB port. When I
went to My Computer, and opened the Drive, clicked on the photo folder I
wanted to edit, the photo opened in a full screen with what looked like an
old-fashioned editing program I used in the 90s!

When I click on a saved photo in My Pictures, there's no option to "Edit,"
or even on the right click.

I have my MS CDS, do I need to re-load something? I cannot find it on my
computer, but I know it's there some place - or did an Update removed it?

Using XP Pro, Word 2003, ZoomText, Dragon, Kurzweil 1000, auto updates, and
all security ON, and/or run daily.

Thank you.

Yes, after re-installing Word 2003, however, now I have to click on an imp
and right click, "Edit" where before I merely clicked on a downloaded image,
and the MPM opened up automatically. darn.

Right click on any image of the type (.jpg, .bmp. or whatever) that you want
to open in MPM when you double click on it, click open with, click choose
program, select the app you want (MPM), check the box 'always use this
program to open this type of file', click OK. Repeat for any other image
types you want.

Good gravy! There is was! Even the format I've always used, not the
distractive one I have 'found' lately.
However, in desperation, I downloaded the Live picture program only, so
perhaps that helped, or not.

Whatever, I'm overjoyed, and so is my screen reader program! ;0))

Thank you.

One down, another to go . . .

Having downloaded Windows Live, now I cannot read faxes I have sent
(internally from my computer). Something about tif not being present. I
remember setting that up eons ago, and have always been able to re-read any
fax I sent out, now - nothing but a loud BANG.

More over, when I go to pull up an .eml file I have Saved to Word, there is
NO Outlook Express option any more, only WINDOWS LIVE . . . I really
prefer to not have any communication program taking over my computer.

Advice?

I remember setting that up eons ago, and have always been able to
re-read any fax I sent out, now - nothing but a loud BANG.

More over, when I go to pull up an .eml file I have Saved to Word,
there is NO Outlook Express option any more, only WINDOWS LIVE . . . I
really prefer to not have any communication program taking over
my computer.

More over, when I 'browse' and select Outlook Express/and select the OE
option (having checked to always open this type of file with . . . ), and
click out, OE is still NOT an option!

Advice?

dang - where did that come from??

It's not photo editor, its Microsoft Office Picture Manager

Does that mean you found it or just recalled more accurately the
name of what it was you were searching for? *grin*

See if any of this might apply:
