After Win 10 installation - Can I safely delete directory$WINDOWS.~BT ?
I have finally succumbed to Win 10. It will have to do.
Can I now safely delete C:/$WINDOWS.~BT ? Any other garbage I can also clean up? (I will be keeping Windows.old for the 30 day count) thanks |

(I will be keeping Windows.old for the 30 day count) thanks Use the disk cleanup program. Search for disk cleanup. Run it and choose C: then click 'Clean up system files' and tick the boxes referring to the discription underneath to decide if you want to tick them or not. I'm pretty sure one of them includes most of the contents of C:\$WINDOWS.~BT but I'm not sure which one, and the description will enable you to decide whether to delete it now or not. Once you've chosen just click OK and it deletes them right then. -- Brian Gregory (in the UK). To email me please remove all the letter vee from my email address. |
