Most hard drives seem quite indestructible. What is the best method of
disposal ? I do live on the coast with some 500ft high cliffs nearby. Bill. |

Do you really give any regards to the well being of Bill Ward, the original poster? Using a hammer could damage his eye if the fragment from the HD hits one of his eye. He is not likely to have any protection when he is trying your stupid advice. /--- This email has been checked for viruses by Windows Defender software. //https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/comprehensive-security/ -- With over 600 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

The financial director where I used to work had a novel way of destroying a floppy disk. He brought a crumpled one to me and asked if I could do anything with it. He had left it on the window sill in full sunlight and gone on holiday. Bill. |

I used to have an AOL CD where someone had cut a notch in one side and put on a label (on the shiny side) that said "user protection notch". |

That's because it's a rock and roll record. (The record player requires a 2 inch needle to play it.) |
