HDD Space
My computer is losing hdd space. Even when i uninstall programs i dont gain
the space back from the uninstall. I havent been able to figure out whats happening. I have emptied temp folders and whenever i add things to the hdd and then delete it, i never get the space back again. Any help would be appreciated. |

Are you emptying the recycle bin? If you have Norton SystemWorks, also
empty the Protected Recycle Bin. Then run a defragger to consolidate the free space. -- Colin Barnhorst [MVP Windows - Virtual Machine] (Reply to the group only unless otherwise requested) "Mena2871" wrote in message ... If it turns out not to be the Recycle/Norton Recycle Bin(s) you might want to check out Sequoia View. SequoiaView is an excellent free (and clean) utility helpful in tracking down mysterious missing drive space. It provides a one window graphical representation of which files are taking up how much space where on a drive, often quickly and easily tracking down files that Windows is reluctant to reveal. http://www.win.tue.nl/sequoiaview/ (It's kinda fun too) :-) -- D I'm not an MVP a VIP nor do I have ESP. HDD Space
Well i know its not Norton and i did try sequoia, but this hdd is on my
partiiton hdd. So half of it is storage and the other is for programs and windows. This is occuring on both of the partititons. It seems to mostly affect the storage partition. I selected all the folders, even the hidden folders and it added up to 63.8gigs and there is a total of 72gigs. Yet it says i only have 1.8 remaining.
