Use the search engine here.

http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/

Set Socket to "Socket A (462)"

Set SATA to 1.5 gigabits per second, as 3.0 for that vintage is unlikely.

I got a list of 215 motherboards. Now, some of those, will have
a separate chip, like a SIL3112, to do the SATA. The Nforce2 based
boards might be done that way. The VIA ones, might have SATA on
the Southbridge. For VIA Southbridges, you have to install a
jumper on the back of the SATA drive, the "Force 150" jumper.
The older VIA Southbridges with SATA, don't negotiate with
SATA 3Gbit/sec drives properly, so the drive has to be jumpered
down to 1.5Gbit/sec.

Some drives don't have jumpers, in which case, you need to use
a software program to change drive settings. And then you need
a more modern motherboard, something with a real 3Gbit/sec
interface, to be guaranteed to be able to change the drive
settings. Drives like Seagate, make this easier, as there
is a "Force 150" jumper on the back.

Forget used boards, most likely they are worn out or out-dated..Instead,
look for refurbished,if you want to save a few dollars.A good site for what
youre looking for: http://www.spartentech.com They have
new,used,refurbished,
boards,as they also have "Take-off" processors,some 1/8 original cost..
