Default folder opening at startup

go to start/run..and type msconfig,
go to the start-up tab and uncheck the programs you don't
need to load at start-up. Restart and check if this
solved the problem.

-----Original Message-----
After the recent installation of a new software package
my computer no longer startsup with the desktop as the
opening screen. Windows starts just as it should but

now
included in the startup routine is a new opening screen
which is the Program Files file folder from My Computer
opening on top of my desktop screen. A fast click on

the
X box immediately closes the Program Files file folder
window and the desktop screen is there just as it should
be. What is causing this folder to open at startup and
how do I stop it from occuring?
.
