Default Problem with buffering on XP

Hi group,

In a webapplication (ASP.NET) I embedded WMP to display video's
(MPEG-2). I'm using Javascript to control the embedded WMP setting the
currentposition property to start at a certain location in the video.
On Vista this all works fine; when the currentposition is at a position
that hasn't been downloaded yet WMP will buffer the requested data first
and then start playing. On XP however the video will start playing at
the beginning of the video, ignoring the currentposition property. When
the video has been watched and I try again then the next time it will
jump to the right position. So it seems like once the video has been
buffered it works fine. I want it to 'wait' before playing starts until
the requested data has been buffered, just like it does on Vista though.
The version of WMP is the same on both Vista and XP (11). Has anyone
experienced this or something similar before? And better yet does anyone
have a solution for it?
Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Peter.
