Default Error 0x80040900

When I attempted to transition from Outlook Express 2003 to Microsoft Outlook
2003
the Microsoft Wizard guided me through the transition.
I followed the Wizard carefully.

But now I only receive error messages, such as:

Tasks 'POP3 - Receiving' reported error (0x80040900) : 'The

server name you entered can not be found on the network (it might be

down temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the

server name is correct.'

The server is not down as i can access the website and emails via

webmail.

I am a computer novice and totally stumped.
I will be grateful for your help,
Thank You,

Your ISP website should have a Support page for email clients. Use it
to check Outlook POP and SMTP settings.

Also try an Outlook or Office newsgroup where this problem is probably a
common occurrence.
