Say, do you have any trouble trying to get XP running on newer hardware? I was attempting to get XP on a Dell Latitude ST that came with Windows 7 Pro. So far I never heard of a case of anybody being successful. And just today I read: It is mainly USB3 drivers. And, now, some Intel chipset drivers. Fortunately, there are still some motherboards out there that still have support. And I do believe they all could, if the vendors so choose. Okay, and the ICHxx (ICH10R) drivers are a pain in the ass. Especially with the idiot XP installer not reading more than one f6 floppy driver disk and I have a RAID controller or other f6 disk to install too. I just put the BIOS in IDE MODE. I have about 10 floppy drives in inventory. Don't know what I will ever do with them. -T |

It has in-order execution, no sign of SSE or AVX that I could see. More like a "Pentium III on steroids" :-) I really liked the P3's. Kicked P4's butt at the same clock speed. Rumor has it that the CORE line was based on the P3 not the P4. P4 really stunk. I loved the CORE line when it come out. |
