Cannot play web video in IE7
When using IE7 to play videos from web sites, I usually get sound only and
always a still frame of random coloured pixellation. I don't seem to have the problem when using Firefox! The problem would seem to be with IE7 but I don't know how to fix it. I'm using Windows XP Home SP2 with Norton Protection Centre 2007. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. |

I had the same problem. To fix this in WMP 11 TRY:
Tools Options Performance Video Acceleration The default for video acceleration is full, move the bar down to 'none' or just move it closer to 'none' until it plays |

Job done.
Now, that's what I call a quick fix! Many thanks. "Winchester" wrote: I had the same problem. To fix this in WMP 11 TRY: Tools Options Performance Video Acceleration The default for video acceleration is full, move the bar down to 'none' or just move it closer to 'none' until it plays |

Cannot play web video in IE7
Checked Device Manager for possible driver update but Windows tells me that
all is okay. I'm also puzzled that the problem only occurred when using IE7. Firefox worked fine. Would not a driver problem have caused a problem in both? I've left the acceleration setting at minimum, for the time being. Could this, in fact, be another IE7 issue? It certainly is with some HP scanner software and I speak from bitter experience! Checked NVIDIA site and found an updated driver.
Problem seems to have been cured. Many thanks. "Biggles" wrote: Checked Device Manager for possible driver update but Windows tells me that all is okay.
