Default Sound Driver Dispear

20:59 2004-08-26

Urgent assistance needed.

It was normal, sound is available few days ago.

Because of spy and adware attacked, so download some freeware like TreakNow,
Spybot Search and etc. I think it delete some useful drivers as well. Later
I download and installed Window xp SP2. I must say it blocks necessary url I
want, and offer more spyware and hyjeck ware. Better don't use it.

Now no more sound. Neither onboard sound or Creative live value. I tried for
both yet cant get sound. I tried from "sound and Audio Devices Properties"
notice all Sound device, Sound Recording and MIDI music playback all show
"no xx devices". At Volume snow " No Audio Device", and many others.

when I want to install SoundBlaster Live program, Xp suppose to auto
detect, now not work. Now even unable to install creative program. It says

Sound Blaster Liveware Creative Technology, Ltd.

Issue Description:
Sound Blaster Liveware is incompatible with this version of Windows. For
more information, contact Creative Technology, Ltd..
Please advise.

Turn off the PC. Physically remove the Soundblaster card. Turn on the PC.
When you're sure that no Creative card is found in the Device Manager, then
turn off the PC. Reinstall the card. Turn on the PC. XP should now detect
and reinstall the drivers.
