When I power up my computer and I come to the sreen where I choose the USER,
under my account it always says:

Admin Kennan (my account)
#'s UNREAD MESSAGES.

How do I get rid of the # UNREAD MESSAGES? I daresay that it has something
to do with the Beta Live feature?

Please advise - I would be most grateful for any assistance in getting rid
of this annoying alert.

Regards,

Nope, nothing to do with Live. Download and install TweakUI for Windows XP. Go to Logon, Unread mail.
