Not yet. It's pretty hectic trying to get v6 shipped.

I have an Intel onboard chip on one of my PCs at home.

I'll check it out
tonight and see what driver version I have, etc.

are not "bad" they are BAD as in when you roll back the

Hi Richard,

The Intel NIC issue that you and others discovered in

another thread is not the only cause of
this problem. Realistically, the only way to get that

fixed is to complain to Intel --
unless these "bad" drivers are on WindowsUpdate...

Greetings,

I don't believe the problem is on your side, most

likely
since your contact isn't receiving
you, something on their side is blocking it. Tell

them
to do the following:
Make sure that the Internet Connection Firewall hasn't
turned on, click Start, then
click the Control Panel. If you're in category view
click Network and Internet connections
then click Network Connections. Right click your
network/internet connection, then click
Properties. Click the Advanced Tab, and verify that

the
Internet Connection Firewall is
unchecked.
If you're using a router (UPnP enabled), remove the
current port forwardings -- to do so,
click Start, All Programs, Accessories,

Communications,
Network Connections. Right-click the
"Internet Gateway" (should be under the Internet

Gateway
heading) and choose Properties.
Choose the Settings button, click each 'msmsgs'
or 'msnmsgr' entry and then choose 'Delete'
to each one. Then close Messenger (right-click the
Messenger icon, choose Exit), then restart
Messenger and try a voice/video conversation again.

Finally, both of you should run through the

Audio/Video
Tuning Wizard (click the Tools menu
in the main Messenger window, then Audio Tuning

Wizard).

Hi Gary,

There really shouldn't be any "important" entry in there (unless you've set up a port
forwarding manually yourself) that won't be readded by a reboot/restarting the program.
Messenger should automatically add them when it requires them. Unfortunately a number of
routers only have a small number of possible UPnP port forwardings, and as such, by
"cleaning" them out, you allow it to readd the necessary ones the next time Messenger is
loaded.

I'm wondering if you have been able to check your onboard=20

it would be great if Microsoft and Intel could work=20
together to fix this problem. Even if you did not=20

Hey Richard...

I just noticed that Intel has updated their web site. =20
They now have drivers... 8.0.65293 dated 20 June 2003 . =20
I have not tried these out yet but perhaps this will=20
solve some of our problems. The version number listed I=20
have not confirmed whether or not that is the actual=20
number that gets installed (as I still have not tried=20
this out).

Good luck (to the both of us LOL)

I think your problem may be the same as the one we encountered on a
Dell 4600 with Intel Pro VE integrated network card.

Go to your control panel network connections, and double click the
network connection you use. Click "properties" and see if "QoS Packet
Scheduler" service is listed. If it is, then take the check mark out
and click "OK". This should enable you to transmit voice in MSN
Messenger. Apparently there is some conflict with the Intel network
adapter and the QoS service. In most cases the QoS service is not
needed especially for machines not on a network. You can read more
about the service he

Good Luck
