How about in File Explorer manually move C:\Users\Patri\OneDrive\Documents\*.* to C:\Users\Patri\Documents\ and manually move C:\Users\Patri\OneDrive\Pictures\*.* to C:\Users\Patri\Pictures\ Then 'Restore Default' for locations but this time click 'No' on choice to move the files since you have already done so. -- Take care, Jonathan ------------------- LITTLE WORKS STUDIO http://www.LittleWorksStudio.com |

Thanks for your consideration, however, the only way out after clicking 'Restore Default' is to cancel everything, which puts it back as it was!!!!! I'm running a WD drive test at the moment, it fails the Basic test after a few seconds, it is running the Extended test at the moment. SMART data looks OK though. Guess it's time to get myself a new HDD, never hurts to have a spare anyway. |

Apparently this bug has been around since Windows 8. As the thread progresses, the answers get closer to where they should be. Still not a convenient solution, by any stretch of the imagination. Initially, someone uses account tricks to try and step around the problem, switching login to a local user and then switching back to an MSA. Some of the other methods attempt registry based fixes. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6-1a973de0dd94 https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/e...ures-onedrive/ What the Answers thread suggests, is this behavior works like a "trap door". You can "move" a local user to MSA+OneDrive, but if you then attempt to move them back, the two items Documents and Pictures become "Access Denied" troublemakers. Paul |

Some of the other methods attempt registry based fixes. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...6-1a973de0dd94 Following above, I went into the Registry, unwiitingly deleted 'OneDrive' from some of the funny number/name things at the top, then saw the relevant entries (Pictures, Documents). The problem now seems to be (more or less) fixed. Thanks for your help. https://www.winhelponline.com/blog/e...ures-onedrive/ What the Answers thread suggests, is this behavior works like a "trap door".
