Default WSD registry hacks?

Supposedly you can squash all WSD activity on a given PC by deleting:

HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monito rs\WSD Port

Does anyone know of any other registry hacks that pertain to WSD? TIA.

https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/...-that-is-runni

"try to use a secure Web Services on Devices (WSD) device"

"This problem occurs because the Function Discovery Provider Host
(fdPHost) service cannot access certificates that are installed
or updated after the fdPHost service was started."

http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-7...phost-service/

"The FDPHOST service hosts the Function Discovery (FD) network
discovery providers. These FD providers supply network discovery
services for the Simple Services Discovery Protocol (SSDP)
and Web Services – Discovery (WS-D) protocol. Stopping or
disabling the FDPHOST service will disable network discovery
for these protocols when using FD. When this service is unavailable,
network services using FD and relying on these discovery protocols
will be unable to find network devices or resources."

- Function Discovery Provider Host === used for HomeGroups ?

- Function Discovery Resource Publication

- SSDP Discovery
- UPnP Device Host

That probably explains why FDPHOST didn't get removed when
Win10 HomeGroups were deprecated. It's used for more than
one client.

And it does appear the "WSD or WS-D" thing is getting
abused a bit.

I haven't tried to disable that service, but i HAVE had to disable WSD
on my network printer; it would literally REBOOT whenever I quit my
security camera software because of WSD. So now the printer's gone from
Network Neighbourhood (no real loss.)

- SSDP Discovery
- UPnP Device Host

Exactly...
