Default Set Default Value For "File In Use" Dialog?

When I select all files in a directory and then hit Delete, I always get
"File In Use
Action can't be completed because...."

This is expected because at any given time 7 of those files will be in
use.

What I would like to do, though, is set something (Registry?) so that
the "Do this for all current items (xxx found)" checkbox is initialized
to True instead of False.

That way, I just hit RightArrow to select "Skip" and hit "Enter" to
proceed.... no mouseing or repeated tabbing required.

Is there a way?

I think if you use Robocopy, it has options to auto-skip files in use.
Of course, you'll have to use the command-line interface when using
that, rather than the GUI.

In a sensible (non-Microsoft) world the program would delete all the
files that it could delete before bothering you about the files that it
couldn't delete. Then all you'd have to do is hit "Esc".

Sorry, that's not much use is it?

I found ways to do it in Win8 and 8.1, but nothing in Win7. It may be
possible to add the key and values as shown he

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/37125-do-all-dialog-checkbox-check-uncheck-windows-8-a.html

They both refer to the same registry key, just a little difference in
presentation :-)

As always, back up the registry before making any changes :-(

Not really needed since apparently, W8 remembers the last used selection
(but I've marked your reply as a keeper nonetheless, lol, thanks).

Best Regards,
