Problems synchronisation files
I have a problem with synchronization folders/files. Few months ago they
changed the server were I was synching files against. I removed all the offline files on the computer linked to that old server and made a new synchronization against the new server. Now the PC still search for the old server - and in the explorer I cannot enter into the remaining folder at the old server. Anyone have any suggestion? |

Problems synchronisation files
Since the answer isn't found here and I had about the same type of problem, I
decided to list what I did. In my case, there wasn't suppose to be outline files setup. There was peer to peer network and one of the desktops was set up as a file server to store the shared files. The network was moved to a Windows Server 2008, the files on file server desktop were moved to the Windows Server 2008 and the shares on the former file server desktop were unshared. At that point one of the user complained that there was a message Offline FilesLatfilesvrDocuments on FileServer(Latfilesvr)unable to connect to \LatfilesvrDocuments The network name cannot be found. The link http://blogs.msdn.com/jonathanh/arch...21/218463.aspx is quite long but the conclusion is one has to use CSCCMD to fix the problem. I download and installed the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools. I located the CSCCMD instructions at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884739 However I found I could not use the share name from Windows Explorer, tools, synchronize I found the share name at HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, Windows , CurrentVersion, NetCache, Shares. I ran the CSCCMD but still found I had to go back and delete the share name at HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Microsoft, Windows , CurrentVersion, NetCache, Shares Then I uninstalled the Windows Server 2003 Resource Kit Tools "Levanger123" wrote: I didn't manage to participate, but find usefull help he http://blogs.msdn.com/jonathanh/arch...21/218463.aspx I restarted the Offline Files Cache/Database http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=230738 Thank's for your support.
