Default Log on to Messenger in 'offline' mode?

Hi,
Is there any way to log onto Messenger but in 'Appear Offline' mode?
What I do now is log on and then change my status to 'Appear Offline' as
fast as possible but my contacts still see me coming online. Is there any
way to avoid that, pls?
TIA,
M.

Greetings,

Unfortunately no, Messenger itself doesn't have this capability. You can however find
third-party patches and tools which will allow you to login as offline, you can find these on
http://www.mess.be, look in their download section (more specifically the 'MSN Messenger
Addons, Bots, Tools & Tweaks ' section) for 'JnrzLoader', 'Nega Patch' and others. Keep in
mind that these are unsupported and may cause some odd behavior (also most are for MSN
Messenger releases, not Windows Messenger).
