Peter There is a command line method here. http://winaero.com/blog/create-a-res...ith-one-click/ Wmic.exe /Namespace:\\root\default Path SystemRestore Call CreateRestorePoint "%DATE%", 100, 7 ******* Restore points should be in C:\System Volume Information. Attempting to get in there will yield "Access Denied". For a look, you can use Linux if you want. "Look, but don't touch!" It's easier to just use the GUI interface and see that a new item has been added. If you must see how it is stored, then you're going to need to get around the "Access Denied" thing. And the system protection feature must be turned on for these attempts to work. There's no point calling the above, if protection of C: has not been enabled before hand. Paul |

Both my Win10Home and Win10Pro have it. After expanding Task Scheduler Library Microsoft Windows, you still don't have a System Restore folder? Do you have SR enabled? Press WinKey-Pause and click on System Protection in the left-hand column. Make sure Protection is On for your (System) drive. -- SC Tom |
