I totally agree! A short while ago, I just had Windows Messenger, no hassle, no problems... Now, I have the Windows & MSN messengers, along with a un- invited, irritating, nagging problem, that will not p***off I'm fed-up with the pair of them! -----Original Message----- Jonathan, I hope that you are advising Microsoft that this whole "Windows Messenger" "MSN Messenger" thing is a mess. On the one hand they are advising people to upgrade Windows Messenger through Windows XP automatic update and on the other they are encouraging installing two competing products from the same organization. How many more posts are we going to get with people running both "Windows Messenger" and "MSN Messenger"? Why did Microsoft not make it clear that MSN Messenger 6.0 is a totally separate product? Why was Windows Messenger allowed to lag behind MSN Messenger forcing people to move from one to the other. Why can I transfer files with one and not the other? Why do I have automatic conversation recording with one and not the other? Why do I have to have the MSN advertising constantly annoying me? IMHO this is a disaster. It has created a huge confusion and will damage Messengers acceptance. If it was a Microsoft ploy to get more MSN visibility, then I am extremely annoyed. I am convinced just by what I have seen so far that you will have a lot of user support for getting this sorted out. Microsoft listens to their MVPs, please let us know what kind of response you get. Best Regards, Dave . |
