This little used utility has been around forever. There is a link in Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools. Select the Font in the top menu, scroll through the characters until you find the one you want to use and select it. Yu can then click the Select/Copy buttons and paste the character into any document or look at the bottom of the dialog box and you'll see the keyboard shortcut and name for this character. You can even drag and drop the characters from the CM directly onto the open document. ¢ © ® Ç Ø ¥ ¾ O - Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit. I swear I cannot find the cent sign in the character map of Word. I would
not have posted otherwise. The Alt key method is going to be faster, but out of curiosity, exactly what row in the character map are you seeing the cent sign? "Ronnie Vernon MVP" wrote in message ... Using XP Pro with SP1, I did find it under the selection called Arial
Narrow. I wonder why it would be under Arial Narrow and not under all the different fonts? Anyway, the problem is solved. "Ronnie Vernon MVP" wrote in message ... You have two choices,
