Eben

From your description, I suspect I'm a bit like your dad. The computers
I played with as an apprentice had thermionic valves! You can find out
about me he https://www.linkedin.com/in/boaterdave

I recently uncovered a photograph of my younger son, Nick, 'working
away' at our BBC B computer which I'd bought on leaving the navy in
1983. You'll find a copy of the piccie he-
http://oi66.tinypic.com/iwjd5i.jpg Nick was around 13 years of age at
the time that photograph was taken. Like you, he had been 'nuts' about
electronics and computing from around the age of seven! He obtained a
good degree in Physics from Manchester university and went straight on
to ICL in Stevenage where he stayed until, at the age of just 28, he
sadly collapsed and died in January 1999. No obvious cause for his death
was found at his autopsy. To me he was both a friend AND a guru who
helped me whenever I got stuck with any computer problem. As you might
imagine, my wife and I still miss him terribly. We celebrated our golden
wedding anniversary in December - yes, we were just children when we
married!

FYI, I keep my narrowboat not far from IBM in Warwick; I bought it
shortly after that tragic event and am pleased to advise that our
boating has been highly therapeutic.

I tell you all this because I wish to ask you a question. I trust you
will forgive my impertinence!

I have read this article on Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clickjacking

"Clickjacking is possible because seemingly harmless features of HTML
web pages can be employed to perform unexpected actions.

A clickjacked page tricks a user into performing undesired actions by
clicking on a concealed link. On a clickjacked page, the attackers load
another page over it in a transparent layer. The users think that they
are clicking visible buttons, while they are actually performing actions
on the hidden/invisible page. The hidden page may be an authentic page;
therefore, the attackers can trick users into performing actions which
the users never intended. There is no way of tracing such actions to the
attackers later, as the users would have been genuinely authenticated on
the hidden page."

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clickjacking

I believe THIS site a prime example of a 'tainted' web page:-
https://web.archive.org/web/20161002...://identit.ca/ (please
review the page source code carefully - around line 472)

I have been told that I am wrong - but I'd welcome YOUR view. What WOULD
that - somewhat hidden - code be doing on that web page?

Following my discussions on the Microsoft TechNet forums, the original
www.IdentIt.ca site has now been taken down.

Thank you for listening!

David B.

Never

I have read this article on Wikipedia

When you hover your mouse over a link it will say on the
status bar what it will do. If you are hovering over "look at a nice
hairy dick"and the bar says "javascript --- take me to pussy pics"
obviously, in your case, you won't click, or you will be click-jacked
to something you despise. Might even have to take a few more swigs at
the bottle to forget the experience if you do.

The site you STALK has NO clickjacking. The links are
inactive, and have been since they were put there, 6 years ago(archive
org says they have beeen unchanged, malware changes day by day to
escape detection, which is proof there is no malice).
I have no idea why you even mentioned it. Why not mention
Google? There's clickjacking on every single page.

Sadly, though, they are not.

Seriously though, Are pooh and yourself drinking buddies? Have the
two of you been out drinking recently? As well, both of you seem to
have difficulty remaining on the page. You started off by writing
that some MVPs often don't tell the truth. When I asked why you
target them instead of thousands of other people, you attack the MS
forums.

You KNOW that by logging in to Microsoft 'Live' you are giving
Microsoft (Just WHO, though?!!!) access to your confidential
details. Probably not a very good idea if one doesn't wish to
leave oneself open to being hacked.

Well, no, actually, I'm not. AFAIK, I'm not open to being hacked. It
doesn't work like you've seen in the movies, David.

No, you haven't wasted effort, Dustin. Through you (in part)
over the past 10 years I have learned far more than you could
possibly imagine. However, YOU look at things through 'techie'
glasses and rightly so.

If that's the case, why do you continue asking the same damn
questions? Why don't you demonstrate some of this new knowledge
you've managed to acquire instead? Geeze, how many people did
you ask about what I wrote about the marquee before you finally
decided I wasn't writing bull**** to you about it?

I've asked a professor from Cambridge university too. I've not
yet received his answer.

So I have been wasting my time then, as I said.

Take a look at my question, Dustin - and respond on YouTube if you
wish.

Can anyone reading here suggest any reason why these links are present?

Ah! For some reason I'd not noticed. Eagle appears to have kept
his distance from me since you decided to frighten him so badly. I
didn't like what you did to him, Dustin. It really isn't funny.

Frighten him?

It certainly seemed like that to me :-(

Again, they DO NOT WORK, not unless you extract them, paste
them into your browser and then click GO.
Why go to the bother to download the source of a site
abandoned SIX YEARS ago, extract the URLS and then paste them into
your browser ? If you are a Nike fan, there are hidden links to Nike
products in every other Glugle page, and those DO work.

You must be "very mentally unwell". Is that the politically
correct term for it ?
The links are INACTIVE in the original page.
