Experienced help with External drive prob.
Hi folks,
Looking for some experienced help... My external USB/FW drive has stoppped working after I unpluged it into a Mac and didn’t eject it first. I was copying files between the PC and a Mac. Now the drive boots up but starts making more clicking sounds then usuall and after a min or so the access light stops flashing and switches off which I haven’t seen before. It doesn’t appear in My Computer at all nor device manager. Has the boot sector or whatever is is called damaged and how could I try repairing that ? Of course it could be the external case has burnt out but I don’t have another SATA to test with buying another cable for inside the PC. I’ll coul d try that after the recovery process. THANKS TO EVERYONE ! Jam. -- Posted at author's request, using moderated http://www.WindowsForumz.com interface Thread archive: http://www.WindowsForumz.com/windows...ict603596.html |
