CPU Usage 100 when playing video
When I watch a television show on Fox.com, the video freezes for about half a
second every 10 seconds. It makes the video unwatchable. I read something in the FAQ for the video player about CPU usage. It stated that if CPU usage was over 75%, it could cause a problem with video playback. I looked in Windows Task Manager (CTR-ALT-DEL) under "Performance" and my CPU usage is at 100% when playing the video. When I looked under "Processes", over 95% was for iexplore.exe (my browser I assume). When I am not watching video, iexplore usage is less than 5%. I am not sure if this is the problem. Is there anything that can be done to reduce the CPU usage while running the video player? |

CPU (speed/type/full specs) and amount of memory in the system in question? -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
