Default Decryption

I resently did a fresh install of win xp,but forgot to
decrypt one of my important folders.......The folder is
not encryted but the jpeg's in the folder says no
preview avaliable and I can't change the encryption
attribute.I still have my documents and settings for that
user profile and I know there's someway of getting access
to my files. someone help me please????????

I think you're SOL.....unless you'd backed up/exported your key/cert to disk
somewhere. EFS can be dangerous...and if it were easy to decrypt without the
key, it wouldn't be of any use whatsoever.

Hi

If you have access to the user profile folders on the old install for
the user that encrypted the files and if you remember the password for
the user that encrypted the data, you might be able to save the files.
