Default Service Pack 2 Automatic Install with Automatic Updates?

I am an administrator in a University setting. We have a policy of requiring all students to run a piece of software that sets the Automatic Updates Service on their computer to run every day. (This is done via the Administrative registry settings, not t

he user interface for Automatic updates). So currently all crictical updates are automatically installed on every student's computer.

When service Pack 2 is released, will these settings on student's computer cause service pack 2 be automatically installed? or will the students need to manual start the service pack 2 install?

Thanks!

Hi

Microsoft staff have stated that it will be automatically
downloaded, but the user will be prompted to install it
(necessary to be able to e.g. display the EULA).
