Default Strange 2nd Item in Network Infrastructure

I posted this in one of the Network NG's but got no response:

I just upgraded my old tired Cisco Range Plus WRT110 Router to a Cisco
E3000. The router works great, however on the two computers that are
connected wirelessly, an item PK500Z AP has shown up in the Network
Infrastructure as (2). The icon is the same as the one for my network
except that
it has a little antenna on it. I Googled the PK500Z AP and it seems to be a
router or from the ZyXEL product line. I am just curious as to why it is
showing up like this on my network. If I click on the icon a box opens up
and tells me to enter the pin number located on the back of the router to
access the network. If I got to "network connections" I can see about
eight
of my neighbor's networks, but none of them seem to belong to this little
item.
I have taken all the steps to secure my network, but this thing has me a
little concerned.

Can anyone tell me if this is a potential problem
and/or how to get rid of this?

I dont have an answer to Your problem I just want to say that
I know from my own experience that Win7 do strange things in
the nethood folder.

I have a backup pc that run 24-7 and I have a test pc that I
turn on when needed. if the test pc isn't turned on I can
see my backup machine in the nethood, but when I turn on my test
machine it replaces the backup pc in the nethood folder and
I cant even find it in a search, I can access it if I manually
write the path to it, so its still there alright, but it doesn't
show in the nethood folder untill I close down my test pc.
Weird!!

I'm waiting for a Sp2 to Win7 and hoping.

Good luck with Your problem.

Best regards

The 'AP' bit will be short for 'Access Point'. I note that your
Cisco E3000 has simultaneous 2.4 and 5Ghz channels, so perhaps
that is the reason?
"Simultaneous Dual Band : Cisco Linksys E3000 offer Draft N 2.0 signal
simultaneously in both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz frequencies , it's recommended to
select 2.4Ghz if you use the computer for internet surfing and emailing.
The 5 Ghz is used usually to distribute music, pictures, and video
throughout your home"
