Network Loss
Previously my network icons opened and showed a WiFi with Internet
connection active and a Cat5 LAN connection. So I could see all things on my LAN and access the Internet. Now I cannot see my LAN but I can see the Internet. My LAN has NAS drives that I can previously access but not now. I unfortunately did some Windows updates but I have no ideal if any of those did me in but from now on I doubt I will install any windows updated on any PC as all it brings is grief. I will be doing complete backups so even if I get some a-hole messing with my PC I can restore it. How do I troubleshoot this lack of LAN (Cat5) access ? |

Your suggestions may be valid but where / how do I look to see what you want me to investigate ? pjp wrote: In article , says... Does unplugging then plugging back in the network cable do anything? What does Windows says about the connection, e.g. cable is unplugged? Is the nic set to Disabled? What happens if you temporarily disable your wireless? Just some ideas, my network works fine Try Google perhaps? |
