Default win98 programs to win xp

hi i have just recently bought a new computer using win xp home my old
computer had win 98 i am trying to use my microsoft greeting99 am although it
installs perfectly when ever i try to use it it puts up a message saying that
i can't use it because it is missing something and to find out what that
something is go back to the setup when i do that can't find anything can some
one out there help me out with this problem. thanks scotty2236

I Googled for "Microsoft Greetings 99 compatible XP?" and got this
interesting link:

Basically, it says the program is not compatible with XP. The post
refers to the following MS Knowledge Base article which gives a way you
might be able to run the program in Compatibility Mode:

But probably you're going to have to buy an XP-compatible program.
