Windows XP internet connection sharing problem

Hi,

I have two PCs one of which (lets say A) is connected directly to internet
via wireless lan card. This PC have another lan card also through which
another PC (lets say B) is connected. I have enable internet connection
sharing in A and now I am able to browse www.google.com and www.msn.com on
B. I can search on google as well. But apart from this no other website is
opening, even msn and yahoo messengers are also not working. Can you please
help me how can i solve this problem.

One thing more..I can ping to the websites like www.yahoo.com but when i
try to open www.yahoo.com in my internet explorer it doesn't open. Any
idea??

Look at your HOSTS file.

Should look like

The host file is same as below..but even then problem is still there and
only google and msn websites are opening and no other website is opening.

If you're still having this problem, and you've checked the LSP/Winsock and the
MTU, and you've looked at the (known) hosts file, there are additional
diagnoses:
1) Examine the contents of hosts, using Notepad, carefully. Scroll to the end
of the file, by hitting Ctrl-End, then back up to the top, page by page, before
deciding that any "hosts" file is empty. Look out for blank lines at the
beginning and end of the file, after "localhost", placed there by an exploit.
Do not assume that a file is empty simply because you see "localhost" followed
by 50 blank lines!
2) Check Registry key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\Tcpip\Parameters\DatabasePath].
Is its value "%SystemRoot%\System32\drivers\etc"? If not, check the hosts file
in the folder indicated.
3) Check for a spyware hijack (probably a DNS / hosts hijack) of a currently
unknown variant. The bad guys are being paid to do their work, and they are
becoming very good at it. There's a lot of $$$ in hacking (cracking) currently.

Get expert advice using HijackThis. Please post in one or more expert forums,
and PLEASE post a link to your forum post(s) here.

Create a separate folder for HijackThis, such as C:\HijackThis - copy the
downloaded file there. Create a separate folder for the two TrendMicro files,
such as C:\TrendMicro - copy the downloaded files there (unzipped if necessary).
AdAware, CWShredder, and Spybot S&D have install routines - run them. The other
downloaded programs can be copied into, and run from, any convenient folder.

First, run Stinger. Have it remove any problems found.

Next, close all Internet Explorer and Outlook windows, and run CWShredder. Have
it fix all problems found.

Next, disable System Restore.

Next, run Spybot S&D. First update it, then run a scan. Trust Spybot, and
delete everything ("Fix Problems") that is displayed in Red.

Then, run HijackThis ("Scan"). Do NOT make any changes immediately. Save the
HJT Log.
